Cookie consent for CS-Cart

Cookie consent for CS-Cart 4, installed as a native add-on. Consent Mode v2, GTM, Meta and TikTok gating included — on a platform few vendors build for.

Why CS-Cart sites need consent that actually blocks

CS-Cart is a commercial e-commerce platform widely used for marketplaces and multi-vendor stores. It is well established, but few purpose-built, first-party consent integrations exist for it — the mainstream vendors tend to stop at WordPress, Shopify and Magento, or hand you a generic snippet.

Installing on CS-Cart

01

Upload the add-on

Add-ons → Manage add-ons, press the + button, choose Local, select the zip and press Upload & install.

02

Activate

Set its status to Active. Credentials are read from config.local.php at the store root.

03

Clear the cache

From the top-right menu of the admin panel. Realistic time: 5 to 10 minutes.

What’s specific to CS-Cart

CS-Cart keeps its database configuration in config.local.php at the store root — separate from the main config.php — a distinction that matters if you ever need to check the values by hand. Cookie Craft reads the right one.

The other practical point is cache clearing, which on CS-Cart lives in the top-right menu of the admin panel rather than in a settings section. It is quick, but easy not to find if you have not used the platform before, so the guide points at it directly.

Included on CS-Cart, not upsold

No feature is held back for a higher tier. One plan, everything in it.

Google Consent Mode v2

The four signals GA4 and Google Ads need to run properly in the EEA — analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization — set from your visitor’s real choice.

GTM, Meta & TikTok

Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel get base placement and consent-aware loading — no snippets pasted into your CS-Cart templates, no second plugin to gate them. Your tracking plan still defines the events and conversions.

One licence, one root domain

A multi-vendor operation frequently runs vendor subdomains, a separate admin domain, staging and sometimes a secondary storefront — all under one root domain. Cookie Craft charges for the root domain and stops counting.

A guide for your exact site

Your install guide is generated with your real CS-Cart paths already filled in, in twelve languages — no example.com placeholders to translate into your own setup.

Why it matters here

The marketplace model amplifies the licensing argument considerably. Consent tools that charge per installation or per subdomain become expensive quickly in that structure. Cookie Craft charges for the root domain and stops counting.

The second argument is coverage. If you run CS-Cart alongside another platform — a WordPress marketing site, say, or a custom PHP portal — the same licence and the same product cover both, with the same configuration screens. You learn it once.

What it does — and what it doesn’t

Cookie Craft does not scan your CS-Cart site to discover cookies automatically, and it does not write your privacy policy for you. It gives you the mechanism: a banner your visitors actually interact with, real blocking of the scripts you configure, and correct Consent Mode v2 signals to Google. What you declare in it is up to you.

Consent for CS-Cart, done properly.

Self-hosted, first-party, and everything included — €25/month or €240/year per root domain.
